V6B Feature

New

Treat yourself to extra comfort while chasing : adding this new feature to your basket when you pourchase a Lightning Sensor V6 will give you a second port (high quality waterproof Japenese connector) to connect a wired remote control (supplied). With this configuration, you will be then able to proceed your own manual shooting while leaving the Lightning Sensor V6 active, ready to trigger your camera if lightning strikes. You can also connect your own intervallometer to this second port (Jack 2.5mm)

This second port takes place on the other side of the case : your Lightning Sensor V6B has thus a socket on the left and a socket on the right. Both ports, having the same function and being reversible, allow an optimal release cable positioning whatever the socket location on your camera (left or right), making in this way your Lightning Sensor V6B universal

More info

When you buy your Lightning Sensor V6, add this V6B feature to your basket,

You will then get the famous Lightning Sensor V6B !

You will therefore have in hand a fully optimized trigger, designed with a second port (also high quality, waterproof, made in Japan connector) allowing you to connect a wired remote control (supplied) or an intervallometer (must have a Jack 2.5mm plug)

ADVANTAGES :

When you connect the remote control to the Lightning Sensor V6B,  you no longer have to unplug anything to switch from « automatic triggering by detection » mode to « manual shooting with remote control » mode, and vice versa : this provides significant time-saving because in lightning photography, every earned second means, and the most beautiful bolt of lightning often strikes when all cables are unpluged (personal experience, hence the creation of this feature !)

You can even combine both modes simultaneously (remote control + automatic triggering)

Some examples :

- You want to shot by night (or at late twilight) with the remote control, using series of 10 seconds of exposure. You then set the shutter speed to 10 seconds on your camera, burst mode, and lock the remote control. Thanks to its dual port, the Lightning sensor V6B is also connected to your camera, turned on and ready to trigger your camera if needed. If ever you decide to stop the burst shooting mode (by unlocking the remote control) because the storm seems weakening, and if a bolt of lightning strikes at that moment (there often are beautiful positives at the end of a lightning storm), well, the Lightning Sensor V6B will take the picture for you !

- The storm begins to form, no perceptible lightning, but there are beautiful structures (convective clouds, haze of hail, etc): you decide to shoot these structures with the remote control. A bolt of lightning suddenly appears between two shots : if you own a classic Lightning Sensor V6 (therefore unpluged because only one port available) you will not get the picture. If you own the Lightning Sensor V4B (switched on, and connected, of course), you get the picture !

- You own an intervallometer and have a go for a time-lapse photography to highlight a structure progression. A bolt of lightning strikes between two programed shots : if using the Lightning Sensor V6B, you get the picture. You can then include this lightning picture when editing your time-lapse sequence, for a realist, awesome result !
